| A “_ by 3/8” deep square notched trowel is standard for setting Clay Paver tiles. A smaller notched trowel may not apply a thick enough layer of adhesive, thin-set or mortar mix (standard cement) to support the tile. Too thin a layer of adhesive, thin-set or mortar mix will not evenly coat the back of the tile, resulting in loose or broken tiles later. | |
